An oval-shaped scribe's palette carved from a dense, dark stone with a circular depression for red ink and a rectangular mixing area, both enclosed by incised hatched borders. Additional decorative motifs in the form of nested arcs embellish the surface. Size: 165mm x 100mm; Weight: 320g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s.
