A nicolo intaglio engraved with a bearded imperial bust of Caracalla in right profile, with a straight prominent nose, deep-set eye, and parted mouth, the hair rendered in thick curls, set in a possibly later gold ring with a broad flat-section hoop supporting an oval bezel frame.
