Pre-Columbian, Central Mexico, Teotihuacan, Tlamimilolpa-Metepec phases, Ca. 3rd - mid 6th century AD. >A pottery jar modelled as a compact anthropomorphic figure with a globular body, looped handles at the shoulders, and a sculpted human head rising from the vessel neck. The face is rendered with broad, simplified features and pierced ears, consistent with Teotihuacan figural conventions during the Tlamimilolpa to Metepec phases.
