Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Chimu culture, Ca. 12th - 15th century AD. >A blackware pottery stirrup vessel depicting a figure lying across the back of a llama or alpaca, modelled with stylized limbs in low relief. The vessel's form is defined by a smooth stirrup spout that rises into a tall vertical neck, upon which perches a small monkey figure.
