Ca. 20th century AD. >A Kachina Hopi doll with a cylindrical head and compact body, with contrasting fields of black and buff pigment. The face features a projecting nose and a goggle-like eye motif outlined in red and white, while the torso and skirt-like lower section are decorated with bold geometric markings. The arms extend forward with small hands held before the body, and the legs are rendered in simplified cylindrical form.
