INDIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF VISHNU

Ca. 18th century AD. A well-cast bronze figure of Vishnu, standing upon a double-lotus pedestal above a stepped plinth. The deity holds the chakra and shankha in his upper hands, while the lower hands are raised in abhaya and varada mudras, bestowing protection and blessings. He wears an ornate kirita-mukuta, earrings, and pleated lower garment incised with fine details. Size: 200mm x 85mm; Weight: 1.23kg Provenance: Private UK Collection.
