Ca. late 19th - 20th century AD. >A group comprising assembled ornaments and loose elements of traditional Naga adornment, including a semicircular fibre chest ornament with dense tasselled plant-fibre elements mounted on carved wooden plaques, together with a group of associated necklace components consisting of braided fibre cords, bone tubular beads, wooden spacers and strands of coloured glass trade beads.Ornaments of this type were worn by Naga peoples of Northeast India as part of ceremonial dress and personal adornment.
