Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. A group of three Oceanic fishing lures, each carved from bone and shell with fibre lashings. The examples display regional variation in form and function: one with a long tapering shank and dark curved point lashed at the base, another worked entirely in bone with a finely incised double barb to imitate small prey, and a third with a robust curved hook lashed to a bone shank.
