Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. >A group of two fish hooks carved from shell, each formed with a broad, curved body tapering to sharply pointed terminals. Both examples retain a long braided fibre cord attached through the upper section, while one also shows fibre binding wrapped around the shank near the attachment point. > >Size: 100-115mm x 60-78mm; Weight: 115g >Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
