Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. >A group comprising five elongated trolling lures carved from shell, each fitted with a hook secured by fibre lashings. The slender bodies taper toward pointed ends and retain cord attachments for fastening to fishing lines. Several examples preserve fibre tassels or remnants of cord bindings near the base of the hooks.
