Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A bronze dagger with a long tapering blade cast with a central rib and converging edges to a pointed tip. The shoulders broaden to a crescentic guard, the grip enclosed by wooden panels. The hilt terminates in a rounded pommel with two openings. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA65263.
