Ca. 700 - 500 BC. A gold amulet in the form of a reclining bull with the legs folded beneath the body and the head raised. The figure is worked in repouss? sheet with a rectangular foil plate soldered beneath as a base. Applied granules are arranged in a triangle on the forehead, and two suspension perforations at the shoulders are reinforced by applied wire collars with granulation. Size: 19.3mm x 28.3mm; Weight: 3.93g Provenance: Private central London collection; previously acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
