Circa 1800-1810, attributed to Marsh and Tatham The curved padded tablet back and arms over a square caned seat with squab cushion, within a reeded frame, on splay legs, upholstered in a crocodile-embossed pink iridescent leather. Height 36 1/2 inches (92.2 cm), width 22 1/2 inches (57.1 cm), depth 18 1/2 inches (47 cm). Chair 1: with previous restorations, repairs to backrest at juncture of armrails, repairs to arm supports at juncture of handholds, seat re-caned, with later supports to seat rails, later metal caps, old marks and scratches, scuffs, rubbing and losses to paint. Chair 2: With previous restorations, shrinkage cracks to backrest at juncture of arms, repair to right arm support at juncture of hand hold, seat re-caned, with later supports to seat rails, later metal caps, old marks and scratches, scuffs, rubbing and losses to paint.
