18th/19th century The first of oval form with a hinged lid, overall finely inlaid with flowering plants, trailing foliage, and bellflowers; the second of navette form, the hinged lid opening to a fitted interior, inlaid with brass line around the lid and body; the third with domed hinged lid and canted sides, decorated with ebonized and boxwood inlay forming vertical banding; all inlaid with various exotic woods.
