Circa 1750 The serpentine padded back with a central shell cresting and scrolling foliate motifs, flanked by shaped padded arms, supported on cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and terminating in scroll feet. Height 40 1/2 inches (103 cm), width 77 1/4 inches (196 cm), depth seat 24 inches 61 cm, height seat 21 inches (53.5 cm).
