Circa 1760 Enameled and gilt, centered by a large coat-of-arms and helmet crest for De Heere, of Middelburg, Goes, and Dordrecht in the Netherlands, with rococo fronds on a gilt rocaille plinth within a gilt line rim. Diameter 9 1/8 inches (23.2 cm). Provenance: With H. Moog, Atlanta, GA. Benjamin Edwards III Collection of Chinese Porcelain, Christie's New York, January 22, 2002, lot 176. The De Heere family of Middelburg and Dordrecht was a prominent Dutch lineage, closely associated with Huijbrecht Johan De Heere, who served in the Dutch East India Company (VOC).
