French/Bulgarian/American, 1935-2020 Wrapped Bridge Pont Le Alexandre III, Paris, 1973 Signed Christo 1973 (ul) Fabric, twine, glue, staples, pastel, pencil, crayon collage 22 x 28 inches (55.9 x 71.1cm) Provenance: Hokin Gallery, Bay Harbor Islands, Florida Private Collection, Coral Gables, Florida This collage was created as conceptual work as part of Christo & Jean Claude's Wrapped Bridge series. The couple concieved the idea for Pont Alexandre III in 1972 and subsequently created several images for it. Ultimately the Pont Alexandre III wrapping project was never realized and the couple opted to wrap the Pont-Neuf in 1985. (Framed 22 1/2 x 28 1/4 inches) 品相： The work is in great condition. Leftover residue, marks and paint throughout are inherent to the artist's process and the materials used such as glue and twine. The collage is built on a thick cardboard which is affixed to a large backboard which frames the work under a plexiglass cover.
