Some paint separation and pronounced craquelure is visible on the right lapel of the figure. The work was restored at some point in the past. There are isolated areas of inpainting most pronounced in the negative space and the frame surrounding the figure. Some minor touch-ups on the pants of the figure. A tear repair no longer than 2 inches on the top right corner is visible from the verso but is not visible from the front.
