American, 1910-1962 Untitled, 1958 Signed Kline (lr) Oil on paper laid down on paper 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches (26.75 x 34.8cm) Provenance: Sidney Janis Gallery, New York Barbara Mathes Gallery, Inc., New York Private Collection, Japan Sotheby's New York, 15 November 1995, lot 3 (consigned by the above) Acquired from above by the present owner (Framed 19 1/4 x 22 1/2 inches) 品相： Overall in good condition. The sheet is fully laid on top of another sheet. The sheet is slightly toned consistent with age. There's a 1/2 inch paper loss on the lower left edge and a 2 1/4 inches crease line going up from the bottom edge slightly right of center. Light paint separation and tiny craquelure visible on the yellow triangle to the right of center where paint is applied impasto, consistent with material used.
