French/Mexican, 1904-1987 Rain on the Lake, 1949 Signed and dated Alice Rahon/ 49 (lr); inscribed and dated Alice Rahon/ Mexico 49 and titled on the stretcher Oil on canvas 16 x 16 1/4 inches (40.6 x 41.3 cm) Provenance: Wickham Fine Arts, Shingle Springs, CA (Framed 17 3/8 x 17 1/2 inches) 品相： Very dirty varnish, a couple of small scuffs with paint flakes; canvas buckled on the stretcher; visible stretcher marks; reverse side has water stains; there appears to be two small spots of inpainting at far left and right center; no further apparent restoration.
