Mid-18th century Each with cartouche form padded back, the crest rail centered by a carved floral spray and flanked by scrolling acanthus, the serpentine seat rail carved with rocailles and floral motifs, on cabriole legs headed by carved foliage and terminating in scroll feet; upholstered in a later cream-striped fabric. Height 37 1/2 inches (95 cm), width 23 inches (59 cm), depth 18 inches (46 cm), seat height 18 1/2 inches (47 cm).
