19th Century La Divina Pastora (The Divine Shepherdess) Inscribed AVE MARIA on a banderole below the figure of the Christ Child Oil on canvas 28 1/2 x 20 inches (72.4 x 50.8 cm) Frame 35 1/2 x 26 1/2 inches (89 x 67.3 cm) La Divina Pastora (The Divine Shepherdess) is an image of the Virgin Mary that represents her as a shepherdess guarding her flock. Originating in 16th-century Spain, this vision of her as a protectress of Christian souls is widely venerated in Spanish America today. 品相： Not relined.
