Ca. 600 - 400 BC. A gold pendant of Isis standing on a rectangular base with the left leg advanced, the body in a close-fitting dress and the arms held at the sides. The head is framed by a tripartite wig in long, ridged lappets. The reverse has an incised inscription and a circular suspension loop projecting from the upper back.The inscription reads: ‘For Baram (and) for Qeret’. Based on parallel inscriptions the names may be those of deities (perhaps that of a male and female deity) to whom the statuette has been dedicated. Size: 68mm x 26mm; Weight: 58g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired in Brussels, Belgium; initially from a Swiss private collection (1901?1981). This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This piece is accompanied by a full authentication report by Igor Goro-Kovsky, including detailed manufacturing technique analysis, microscopic surface examination, and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) metal composition analysis.
