Circa 1915-1920, attributed to Grand Rapids, Michigan, likely by Stomps-Burkhardt Co. or Michigan Chair Co., featuring a high, curved crest rail with pierced acanthus leaf and foliate carvings. The chair is designed with a distinctive "saddle" silhouette, characterized by a deeply contoured seat and outward-flared, slatted arms. It stands on a curule-form base with four tapering, out-swept legs. The seat is currently upholstered in a traditional floral tapestry with decorative brass nailhead trim. Solid and sturdy; in very good condition with minor surface wear from use. Please refer to the photos for more details. Measure 22-5/8" in width, 18-5/8" in depth and 34-7/8" in height.
