An unusual silver half-hunter cased mechanical wristwatch Case No.1068354, London silver import stamp for 1918 Hand-wound 15 jewel movement, white enamel dial with black Breguet style numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, silver case with screw-down reverse, sprung cover with central window and black enamel numerals released via a button in the band, wire lugs, on brown reptile strap with plain steel buckle. Case, dial and movement signed, case additionally signed W&D.; Diameter 34mm. From the family of the original owner. This design of half-hunter case were intended to protect the glass during use, often preferred by high-ranking military personnel, they are particularly rare to find in good condition.
