拍品描述

Vintage Taiwanese pottery jar of cylindrical form with thick everted rim, the exterior decorated with carved and incised floral and foliate designs against a mottled red and dark ground. The textured surface and coloration reflect a rustic decorative treatment typical of mid-20th century Taiwanese art pottery. The underside bears a carved seal along with impressed English text reading "Formosa (Made in Japan Occupied Taiwan)". Noticeable glaze and surface wear consistent with age, including a small chip to the rim and abrasion to the base. Please refer to the photos for more details.
