Carved wooden Yoruba Ibeji twin memorial figure depicting a standing female figure with stylized proportions and a tall ridged coiffure surmounted by a small bun. The face shows almond-shaped eyes, incised scarification marks, and a small mouth. The figure stands on an integral circular base and retains a metal ring attached near the base. The surface displays a dark, aged patina consistent with ritual handling and age. Overall good antique condition with surface wear, minor losses, patina variation, and scattered abrasions consistent with handling and age. A long age-related crack is visible running vertically from the head down through the torso to the lower leg, typical of natural wood shrinkage over time. Please refer to the photos for more details.
