A pair of 'Canton' famille rose jars and covers Qing dynasty, 19th century Each enamelled and gilt with medallions of court scenes within elaborate gilt and iron-red borders, reserved on a white floral ground interspersed with Happy Omens, the neck and foot with a bright millefleurs ground, each metal bound with matching lockets, 46cm high (2). Provenance: according to family lore, possibly a gift from the Duchess of Buccleuch to the sister of the vendor's grandmother, who was in her service, and thence by descent. 清十九世紀 廣彩開光人物故事花卉紋蓋罐一對 來源:據家族傳說,或為布克萊赫公爵夫人(Duchess of Buccleuch)贈予賣方祖母之姐妹之禮物,該女士曾在公爵夫人府中供職,此後經由家族傳承而流傳至今。
