A Chinese famille rose 'Wing On' plate Republic period Painted to the interior with floral sprays, inscription to the centre reads production supervised by Wing On company, 40.5cm diameter. 民國 粉彩繪花卉圖紋大盤，「永安公司監製」款 Note: Wing On Department Store (Chinese: 永安百貨), commonly known as Wing On, was founded in1907. It is one of the oldest department stores in Hong Kong, the second-largest Chinese-owned department store in the city, and was also one of the four major Chinese-owned department stores on Nanjing Road in Shanghai in earlier years. It was collectively known as one of the “later four great companies” alongside Sincere Company（先施百貨）, Sun Sun Company （新新百貨）, and Dah Sun Company（大新百貨）.
