A Javanese garnet inlaid gold ring Circa 8th - 12th century Inlaid with oval-shaped garnet with ribbed hoop, the gold of 21 karat, 2cm external diameter, 1.75 x 1.65cm internal diameter, 5 grams. Cf. Please find a similar ring in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, object number: 1998.544.338. Note: Spot tested as approximately 21 carat gold.
