A Chinese green and aubergine yellow-ground 'dragon' saucer Qing dynasty, Tongzhi mark and of the period Finely incised and enamelled in aubergine and green to the central reserve with two five-clawed confronting dragons pursuing a flaming pearl, the exterior decorated with four pairs of bunches of grapes, six-character Tongzhi mark in black enamels to the base, 13.1cm diameter. Provenance: Formerly in a private European collection, purchased in Beijing between the 1920s and 1940s.
