A Chinese green and aubergine yellow-ground 'dragon' saucer Qing dynasty, Guangxu mark and of the period Finely incised and enamelled in aubergine and green to the central reserve with two five-clawed confronting dragons pursuing a flaming pearl, the exterior decorated with four pairs of bunches of grapes, six-character Guangxu mark in black enamels to the base, 13cm diameter. 清光緒 黃地素三彩暗刻雲龍紋盤，墨彩楷書「大清光緒年製」款 Cf. This type of yellow-ground dish represents a classic imperial kiln ware throughout the Qing dynasty.
