A Chinese green and aubergine yellow-ground 'dragon' saucer Qing dynasty, Guangxu mark and of the period Finely incised and enamelled in aubergine and green to the central reserve with two five-clawed confronting dragons pursuing a flaming pearl, the exterior decorated with four pairs of bunches of grapes, six-character Guangxu mark in black enamels to the base, 13cm diameter. 清光緒 黃地素三彩暗刻雲龍紋盤,墨彩楷書「大清光緒年製」款 Cf. This type of yellow-ground dish represents a classic imperial kiln ware throughout the Qing dynasty. In the Qinggong Ciqi Dang’an (Archives of Qing Palace Porcelain) of the Guangxu period, it is recorded as “a five-inch yellow-ground dish (or plate) with double dragons to the interior and grapes to the exterior,” and was one of the standardized categories of imperial kiln porcelains produced on a fixed schedule during the Guangxu reign. 參閲:可參見上海博物館藏一件相似盤,館藏號 CI00019866。另可參見舊金山亞洲藝術博物館藏一件相關盤,藏品號 1992.94.1。 此式黃地素三彩盤為清代歷朝中的經典官窯品種。其於光緒時期《清宮瓷器檔案》中稱之為「內雙龍外葡萄澆黃五寸碟(盤)」,為光緒大運官窯瓷器之一。
