Modelled to depict Chairman Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin shaking hands whilst stood atop a red base, dressed in military attire, the latter holding a pipe aloft, the base unglazed Size:(37.5cm high) Qty: (1) Provenance:Collection of Asa Briggs (1921-2016), thence by descent. Asa Briggs, Baron Briggs was an English historian, and was as a leading specialist on the Victorian era and the foremost historian of broadcasting in Britain. Briggs achieved international recognition during his long and prolific career for examining various aspects of modern British history.
