The group depicted two Red Guards dressed in their distinctive apple-green uniforms, replete with red armbands and a Little Red Book, holding a distressed man, brought to his knees and adorned with a sign that reads da dao ('defeat'), the unglazed base with a numeric factory mark Size:(31.5cm high) Qty: (1) Provenance:Collection of Asa Briggs (1921-2016), thence by descent. Asa Briggs, Baron Briggs was an English historian, and was as a leading specialist on the Victorian era and the foremost historian of broadcasting in Britain. Briggs achieved international recognition during his long and prolific career for examining various aspects of modern British history.
