Modelled to depict a group of workers standing atop a naturalistic base, the group including a soldier, a farmer presenting a tray of mangoes, two men each holding a Little Red Book, and a woman with her fist raised in the air, the base with an applied cartouche inscribed with a seal mark Size:(50cm high) Qty: (1) Provenance:Collection of Asa Briggs (1921-2016), thence by descent. Asa Briggs, Baron Briggs was an English historian, and was as a leading specialist on the Victorian era and the foremost historian of broadcasting in Britain. Briggs achieved international recognition during his long and prolific career for examining various aspects of modern British history.
