Comprising a portrait of Confucius rubbed from the original stone of the Portrait of Confucius made by Yunli (1697-1738), also known as Prince Guo, in 1734, which is now housed in the Museum of Xi'an stele forest; together with a rubbing of Guandi from the Ming dynasty stone carving, and one with the Three Stars Gods, signed Zhao Xixian Size:(the largest 138cm long) Qty: (3) Provenance:Private Scottish collection, Melrose, acquired in China in the 1940's when working for Shell, thence by descent; Private collection, London 來源: 蘇格蘭私人收藏,梅爾羅斯;藏家於 1940 年代任職於殼牌石油在華期間購得,後由家族繼承; 倫敦私人珍藏 Notes: The original stone of the Portrait of Confucius was made by Yunli (1697-1738), also known as Prince Guo, in 1734. The stone is now in the Museum of Xi'an stele forest. 本組拓片中之《孔子行教像》,其原石現存於西安碑林博物館。康熙帝第十七子果親王允禮(1697-1738)雅好書畫金石,曾多次為古蹟名勝題跋。根據記載,西安碑林之孔子像石刻曾於清雍正年間由允禮主持或參與重刻。
