Formed as a mythical beast with a Rubenesque body supported by four tucked-in feet and set with an arched handle, the mouth formed with a wide aperture preceding moulded facial features, covered in an olive-green glaze Size:(25cm long) Qty: (1) Provenance:Privae Canadian collection; Geoffrey Middle collection 來源： 傑佛瑞 · 米德爾先生珍藏 Notes: See a very similar celadon-glazed huzi from the Sakamoto Gorō collection, offered at Sotheby's New York, 17 March 2015, lot 33; and another in the same rooms, 17 September 2016, lot 1155. Compare a very similar Western Jin huzi in the collection of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, no. EA1956.953. Another is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, no. 1985.207, and was exhibited in 'A Selection of Chinese Ceramics from the Adele and Stanley Herzman Collection', June 1–August 26, 1990. A very similar vessel from the Zhejiang Provincial Museum was exhibited in 'Greenwares from Zhejiang', Hong Kong, 1993, cat. no.18.
