拍品描述

The seated Arhat dressed in long flowing robes atop a square base, holding a vajra in his right hand and prayer beads in his left Size:(15cm high) Qty: (1) Notes: 'Jiazhen' is a traditional Chinese lacquerware craft originating in the Warring States period and flourishing in the Sui and Tang dynasties. It was commonly used in Buddhist statue sculpting. A clay model is used as the base, and layers of hemp cloth and raw lacquer are glued onto it. After drying, the clay base is removed, resulting in a lightweight, sturdy, and easily transportable hollow statue.
