CHINESE HUANGHUALI 'CHILONG' SCROLL BOX AND COVER MING TO QING DYNASTY 明至清 黃花梨螭龍紋長方卷軸蓋盒the rectangular cover carved on the top with a pair of archaistic confronting sinuous chi-dragons with one larger than the other, their tails intertwined in between, surrounded by scrolling clouds, the longer sides similarly decorated and shorter with scrolling clouds, the base with two scroll supports in the form of chi-dragons with undulating backs, the base and interior of the cover lacquered red 59.8cm x 16cm x 12.4cm
