The finely potted dish of shallow form, rising from a short foot to curved sides with a slightly everted rim, decorated to the interior with a large figurative scene in an outdoor courtyard garden setting depicting a lady sitting in a kang table with her arm resting on a bundle of scrolls next to a censer and jar, besides her a small boy stands leaning on her legs, the base inscribed with a six-character mark of Xuande Size:(21.5cm diameter) Qty: (1) Provenance:Hancock, London [label]; From the esteemed Collection of Mr. Basil Ionides and the Hon.
