A 'Dauphin' lotto game, late 18thC, H 30 - W 27 - D 31 cm Including nine game boards and accessories, in a paper-covered wooden box. The 'Dauphin' lotto was commercialised by the 'tabletier' Vaugeois. It was designed under the reign of Louis XIV to amuse the Dauphin. The game remained the favorite game for aristocrats until 1914.
