Circa 1840s to 1850s, museum-quality antique American flint glass footed compote bowl. This finely executed example features a broad scalloped rim with deeply molded lobes, rising from a substantial faceted stem and circular foot. The heavy, clear crystal construction exhibits excellent clarity and weight, characteristic of high-quality American flint glass production of the period. Straw mark lines and occasional air bubble inclusions are present, both typical of mid-19th-century flint glass manufacture and consistent with the era. Elegant proportions and refined form make this piece well suited for both scholarly collections and distinguished display. Very good antique condition. Minor surface wear and light handling marks consistent with age. Straw mark lines and air bubble inclusions noted as inherent to early glassmaking; no damages or restorations observed.
