A Chinese Jian 'oil spot' tea bowl, probably Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), the deep, rounded sides covered inside and out with a thick iridescent black glaze suffused with a dense pattern of variegated iridescent 'oil spots', stopping in an irregular line and pooling above the foot, exposing the blackish-brown body, the base incised with a single character san mark, 11.6cm diameter, with Japanese wooden box南宋（可能） 建窯三字款黑釉油滴盞 品相： wear to the surface especially on the rim
