AN EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY READING STANDMID 18TH CENTURY The ratchetted adjustable top on a turned column with splayed tripod cabriole legs86cm high (top down), 45cm squareProvenance:By descent in the Hobhouse family at Hadspen House, Somerset. 品相: The top surface has some old marking visible in the photograph. Overall there are some abrasions scratches, marks and discoloration consistent with age and use. The top rotates on the column. The hinges of the top and the ratchet are in good working order, the underside of the top shows wear consistent with use. The top unscrews and is detachable. The legs have not suffered any damage they have an old iron cross bracket underneath. The brass ring at the top of the column is tarnished.
