Y A VICTORIAN SPECIMEN WOOD AND SATINWOOD TABLEMID 19TH CENTURY The square top banded in ebony and inset with various timbers including end cut palm, on a satinwood spiral turned column and spreading base with scroll feet75cm high, 51.5cm square ϒ Indicates that this lot may be subject to CITES regulations when exported. Some natural splitting to the grain of the specimen timbers. Some minor old repairs to the specimen veneer inlays. No damage to the column, the feet are secure and have secure brass castors which are tarnished and dirty consistent with age and use. The underside of the top with an additional block to which the column is attached. There is evidence of cleaning around the join of the top of the column and the block. The top and base appear to have been conceived together however the top may have at some point been detached at refixed.
