A Chinese Han women's lavender purple three-quarter length robe, Qing dynasty, circa 1870, embroidered with small wild orchids on a silk damask ground, symbols of integrity, purity, elegance and grace, the original borders also reflect an abundance of flowers and butterflies, the cream coloured sleeve bands are embroidered with a variety of Pekin knot flowers edged with gold, the robe is lined with a bright yellow silk, 102cm hem to collar x 168 cm cuff to cuff 清約1870年 紫羅蘭地蘭草紋漢女褂 品相: overall in very presentable condition but with some stains to hem and sleeves and stains to yellow lining and overall wear and slight fading commensurate with age
