A Chinese silk embroidered ecclesiastical Chasuble, Qing dynasty, early 19th century, probably made for a visiting Catholic priest during his stay in China, embroidered with a fine silk statin stitch on a cream ground lined with a soft pink silk, the robe 119cm hem to collar and 64cm wide, together with a matching maniple and stole (3) Comparable examples can be seen in the collection at The Metropolitan Museum, New York. 清十九世紀早期 緞繡主教祭披 品相: area of brown staining to back bask below neck area and some alterations to garment and other minor marks throughout and ink lining with some staining
