Painted in vivid cobalt blue emulating the Ming 'heaped and piled' style, the body decorated with eight lotus petals, each enclosing one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems bajixiang, radiating from a central flowerhead medallion encircled by a band of small lotus petals and a key-fret band, all enclosed by a narrow key-fret border near edge; the sides decorated with a broad band of meandering leafy tendrils bearing lotus blossoms; the foot encircled by a continuous floral scroll; the neck and handles later replaced by yellow-ground cloisonne enamel mounts.
