A Chinese chestnut ground dragon robe, late 19th century, probably southern Chinese and most likely found its way to the west as a bolt of embroidered silk and then cut and made into a dress made for a western family member, 130cm hem to collar x 120cm cuff to cuff Embroidered in the colours of the late 19th century, including the aniline purple introduced to China around 1860. 十九世紀晚期 赭石地龍紋袍 品相: altered and made in Western style and some copper thread missing and becoming detached and some wear throughout and a few stains
