A GEORGE III MAHOGANY ARCHITECT'S DESKLATE 18TH CENTURYThe hinged ratcheted leather lined top above a deep fitted secretaire fall-front drawer, above a central recess flanked by drawers and a fitted cupboard, the reverse side with dummy drawer fronts and dummy cupboard panels, on casters100cm high, 125cm wide, 70cm deep 品相： The leather top and leather surfaces inside the secretaire drawer have some marking, wear, scuffs and scratches. The leather is not original. The timber has scratching, marking, rubbing, wear and discolouration consistent with age and use. There are areas of repaired and dented veneer, some lifting veneer to the reverse side and some small loss of veneer. There are splits to the timber on the sides and the reverse side. There is some moulding loss to the reverse side and areas where the moulding has been repaired and replaced. The sides have lines of rubbing and scuffing running horizontally near the upper parts and other areas of marking and denting. The left hand door has been refixed. There is some timber missing beside the locks on this door. The handles appear to have been changed and there is evidence of dowels where previous handles have been located.
